Who is the greatest Harry Potter character of all-time? MTV News wants to know.
They are launching the Harry Potter World Cup, a month-long tournament that will let the fans determine who is the greatest character. It's Harry Potter March Madness-style, so get your brackets ready.
"64 different competitors from all corners of J.K. Rowling's expansive series will enter the ring, but in the end, only one will emerge as the wizarding world's greatest champion."
Voting begins June 20. Check out the announcement below from James and Oliver Phelps:

The winner will be revealed the week of the release of Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows - Part 2. For full details check out MTV's website.

It's gonna be jacked the way it's set up, i mean easy sneezy when you put say Lucious Malfoy up agains Gilderoy Lockhart, or Hagrid up against Gregory Goyle. ... Am I the only one that thinks the way they have this set up is going to be soooo fixed (depending on how many "diverse" voters they can get).

for instance, say fred and george make it to the "Final round", they would go up against EACH OTHER. how retarded is that. How retarded is it that you're supposed to pick one out of the two anyways. I mean, yes I understand they are two different people, but they way they are written it's like ONE character because they complete each other... *SPOILER if you haven't read the last book* that's why it's so tragic... you know. *sniff* I do not like this at all. :( Good idea, poorly planned execution.

Mugglenet, you should so make a prediction contest, like they do for final four college basketball tournament. Or at least take the bracket and allow us to make predictions, even if we can't contests.
I'm sure that the first rounds might be really predictable, but the later rounds could be fascinating, like in the Diagon Alley bracket, in the second round we could easily have Voldemort versus James Potter. This should be fun and entertaining to watch what happens.

    The European Southern Observatory is an agency that governs some of the best telescopes on the planet, and they just added a new eye on the sky: the Very Large Survey Telescope (VST), a 2.6 meter ‘scope in Chile. There are lots of telescopes of similar size dotting our planet, but what makes this one special is its huge field of view — a solid one degree across, twice the diameter of the Moon on the sky – and the resolution of the camera: a terrifying 268 megapixels!
